Two Barns

Fall on the Blue Ridge Parkway
This was a demo painting I did during the Crozet Arts Festival on October 12 & 13th. It is from a photo that Ben Greenburg gave me permission, I have painted it before, large and small. House Mountain, Lexington
House Mountain from my friend Susan's home in Lexington, VA where I stayed for most of a week with four other ladies. This is her view from the driveway, where I was under a deck to paint. Old Rag, Skyline Drive
There are a few places I keep going back to paint, and Old Rag is one of them! This spot is on Skyline Drive called Thorofare Mtn Overlook, the best place to paint Old Rag! Each time I go, I do get a different painting because of the time of year and time of day.

Farm Land, Lexington, VA
I spent a wonderful week painting all around Lexington a few weeks ago. This is a farm that several of us painted, thanks to the farmer, David Chittum. 12" x 36" oil on canvas, framed $485 SOLD
There were four of us painting, and we went back the next day too and painted a different direction. We are chasing the shade as it changed under the big maple tree!

Rivanna River, Charlottesville
Painted this the last weekend of September with the FLOW Festival and won 3rd place in the plein air event! They had nature sculptures made on location, kids events, gospel, other singing as well as live music & dance . . . It all was along the Rivanna River at Darden Towe Park. From Cadillac Mountain, Acadia
