In April we went down to Florida for a visit with family, and went to the Historic State Park of Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings. She wrote the Pulitzer Prize winning novel
The Yearling, plus many other books from this house. The rural area is called Cross Creek, where she had orange groves, gardens and a quiet place to live and write. I so enjoyed spending the second day there painting. 8"x10" oil on board, framed $150 each
