Sleep Bear Dunes National Shoreline, Michagan

This is a commission for a couple who live in Virginia but visit Glen Arbor in the summer time. They asked me to paint this scene once they heard I have relatives who live there and had painted Sleeping Bear Dunes a few summers ago. It was fun to take me back to this wonderful beach. Beaver Creek, Crozet

Bucks Elbow, Crozet

Went back up this afternoon to finish this painting that I started earlier this week, it's way up on the mountain behind our house on private property looking east to White Hall. What was interesting is the trees up top are not leafing out yet but I could see the mountains below with the beginning of the spring green creeping up the mountains. Jarman's Bales II, Crozet

Finished this painting of Jarman's Bales recently from last Fall's hay cutting. This farm is for sale and I sure hope the new owners will continue to let me paint on this property! 28" x 46" oil on canvas, framed $1,300.  SOLD thanks Doris!

Small Plein Air Paintings

All painted this past week or so and all plein air! Chile's Peach Orchard is in full bloom right now and I am headed out shortly to start a new one. Some of these aren't framed yet but will be soon, let me know if you are interested in one!  All SOLD

Crozet Field II

Chloe and I went back to this field in Crozet and painted this on April 1, and the clouds came out but still enjoyed the day painting. A photographer from the local paper stopped by and took a few photos of us enjoying the spring day. The painting is 16" x 40" oil on canvas, framed  $800 SOLD, Thanks Lisa & Jim!
